Qualification/Educational Criteria : Candidates who wish to apply for this post must posess the following skill and criteria: Pass out Graduation & Post Graduation Degree in any subject of any recognized University Govt. of India with Knowledge of Hindi & English Languages and Knowledge of Computers.

Age Limit(in yrs) : Interested candidates who are appearing for this post should have the age of 18 to 30 years for General Male, 18 to 33 for OBC Male & 18 to 35 yeares for female as on 15th October 2014, .
 
Pay Scale/Salary(in Rs.) :
Selected candidates would be eligible to get the pay scale of around Rs.9,300 to 34,800 with G.P. Rs.4,200/- Per Month.
 
Mode of Selection :


Selection will be based on Physical Endurance Test, Written Test, Interview or Personality Test & Medical Examination.

About Andaman & Nicobar Police
The Andaman and Nicobar Police is the law enforcement agency for the union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands in India. It was reconstituted in 1867 with strength of two Inspectors, three Head Constables, tweleve Sergeants and 285 Constables. The system of policing was exclusively on the pattern of military organization, with a small strength of seventy five Civil Policemen for observance of local laws and for accompanying the prisoners to the jungle as guards against aboriginal tribes. Civil Police was separated from Military Police in the year 1924, after nine years of efforts to form the nucleus of Civil Police started in 1915 to deal with Crime and Criminals and Mr. HGL Biggie was the first officer of the Indian Police to appointed as Commandant and Superintendent of Police.
